First Assistant Director working across Feature Films and High-End Television
Delivering complex productions safely, efficiently, and on schedule.

ABOUT
I'm a First Assistant Director with 30 years of experience on more than 70 feature films and high-end television productions. My work has largely been on large, complex shoots involving multiple units, large casts, and demanding schedules. I specialise in keeping productions organised, calm, and moving efficiently while protecting the creative vision and supporting directors and producers in delivering on time and on budget.
FEATURES & TELEVISION
Over the years I’ve worked across horror, period drama, comedy, science fiction, fantasy, and action-adventure, both in studios and on demanding location shoots. The work has included everything from large scale marine operations and underwater filming to prosthetics, creature work, big crowd scenes, period battle sequences, major stunts, VFX-heavy productions, and motion-control shoots. I enjoy the challenge of complex productions and bringing all the departments together so everyone works smoothly as one team.
COMMERCIALS
Alongside film and television, I also work extensively in commercials. I’m used to fast-moving productions where schedules are tight, communication needs to stay clear, and the creative idea has to survive the realities of production. I like keeping shoots focused, collaborative, and running well without losing the energy that made the project exciting in the first place.
INTERNATIONAL
A big part of my career has involved international productions and co-productions across more than 20 European countries. I’ve spent a lot of time working across different crews, cultures, and production systems, and I hold both UK and EU passports, which makes working across borders straightforward.
MEMBERSHIP & CERTIFICATION
I’m a longstanding member of the Directors Guild of America and hold a wide range of CSATF and UK safety certifications.
ADDITIONAL ROLES
Alongside my work as a First Assistant Director, I’ve also worked as a Second Unit Director and Associate Producer. Those roles have given me a broader understanding of production beyond the day-to-day running of set life, from creative problem-solving to the bigger logistical and strategic side of international productions.
