Senior First Assistant Director

Detailed preparation, efficient scheduling, and calm leadership on set define my approach. I specialise in helping productions run smoothly and efficiently while protecting the creative vision and supporting directors and producers to deliver on time and on budget.

I’m a First Assistant Director with 30 years of experience across more than 70 feature films and high-end television productions. My work has largely been on large, complex shoots involving multiple units, large casts, and demanding schedules.

A big part of my career has involved international productions and co-productions across more than 20 European countries. I’ve worked across a wide range of crews, cultures, and production systems throughout Europe, and hold both UK and EU passports, making international work straightforward.

Over the years I’ve worked across horror, period drama, comedy, science fiction, fantasy, and action-adventure, both in studios and on demanding location shoots. The work has included large-scale marine operations and underwater filming, prosthetics and creature work, big crowd scenes, period battle sequences, major stunts, VFX-heavy productions, and motion-control shoots.

I also work extensively across commercials, branded content, broadcast idents, and music videos. I’m used to fast-paced production environments and enjoy keeping shoot days organised, on time, and moving smoothly while maintaining a calm and collaborative atmosphere on set.

I’m a longstanding member of both the Directors Guild of America (DGA) and the Assistant Directors Guild UK (ADG UK) and hold a range of CSATF and UK safety certifications.
