ABOUT

Marco Ciglia is a First Assistant Director working across feature films, television drama, and commercials.

With over 30 years of experience, I have supported the delivery of more than 70 large-scale, multi-unit productions, ensuring complex shoots are executed efficiently, safely, and in alignment with the creative vision.

FEATURES & TELEVISION

My work spans horror, period drama, comedy, science fiction, and fantasy action-adventure.

I have led both studio-based and location-heavy productions, including technically demanding environments such as marine operations, large-scale crowd and battle sequences, underwater filming, motion control setups, and VFX-driven set pieces.

COMMERCIALS

I also work extensively in commercials, operating within fast-paced production environments that require tight schedule management, responsive collaboration with clients and agencies, and consistent protection of creative intent from concept through delivery.

INTERNATIONAL

I have overseen co-productions across more than 20 European countries and worked extensively across international territories. I hold both UK and EU passports, enabling seamless cross-border production.

MEMBERSHIP & CERTIFICATION

I am a longstanding member of the Directors Guild of America and hold extensive CSATF and UK safety certifications.

ADDITIONAL ROLES

Alongside my role as First Assistant Director, I have also worked as Second Unit Director and Associate Producer, contributing both on-set leadership and broader production strategy across complex international shoots.
